Bethlehem Lutheran School Parent Teacher League (BLS PTL) is a group of parents and community members that supports Bethlehem Lutheran School in a variety of ways. The PTL is an essential organization within the school and is led by an elected board. The purpose of the PTL is to support our school through volunteer opportunities, assisting in communication between the school and our families, and to involve all families in church and school functions. The PTL plans activities to promote fun and fellowship and strengthen the relationship between home and school, through educational, developmental and social experiences. The PTL organizes community projects and provides financial support for items the school budget does not allow by fund raising efforts. Everything the PTL does benefits the children, school and community of Bethlehem Lutheran School.
BLS PTL’s main fund raising event is the Bobcat Boogie 5K Run/Walk. Volunteers work throughout the year to organize, recruit sponsors, register runners and plan this event. This year, the funds raised through the Bobcat Boogie will be dedicated to classroom technology and a mobile computer cart that hosts multiple computers.
BLS PTL's goal is to enhance the student's learning experience with additional resources including technology purchases, playground equipment, library books, tuition assistance, team uniforms, and educational tools that are not in the operating budget. The PTL plans school-wide social events, ice cream socials and an annual Book Fair too.BLS PTL also provides support to teachers and staff by providing meals during parent/teacher conferences, providing supplies for their classrooms, fulfilling a grants program and a little TLC during Teacher Appreciation Week.
Our prayer for each school year is that we will glorify God in word and deed so that the families of Bethlehem experience the fullness of life in Christ. We encourage all of our families to support the PTL by involvement. We are always looking for new members and this is a great way to stay involved with your child’s education.
